This iconic Azzedine Alaia dress was a part of the F/W 1986 runway collection. This show solidified Alaia's place in fashion history and designs from this show have became some of his most collectible.

This bodycon stretch black dress has so many unique details that make it anything but an ordinary black dress! We love the ribbed knit fabric on the sleeves and below the waist, that offers a nice contrast to the smooth knit fabric on the rest of the dress.

There are defined corded seams that run under the bust and off the shoulders on the sleeves and as will many pieces from this collection, there is a visible zipper in back! Zippers were an important element in this show and they were used in a variety of unique ways.
